• Heavy-gauge copper or aluminum cables connect the air terminals to ground rods to provide a direct path for electrical discharge. 

3. Ground Rods

• Buried deep near the foundation, these rods dissipate lightning safely into the earth, away from your home’s electrical and mechanical systems.
